TREATMENT
The muscle relaxing injections to reduce lines and wrinkles usually take effect after 3-5 days; however it may take 2 weeks for the maximum effect. At this moment you will have a review appointment by Dr Rita.
The effect lasts between 3 to 6 months (average 4 months). Patients who have had several injections often find the effect persists longer.
Muscle relaxing injections for wrinkle therapy is an effective treatment for frown lines and forehead lines. Side effects are uncommon and minimal.

PRE-TREATMENT ADVICE
The muscle relaxing injections to reduce lines and wrinkles usually take effect after 3-5 days. The effect lasts variable lengths of time between 3 to 6 months (average 4 months). Patients who have had several injections often find the effect persists longer.

Contra-indications 2 days before:
1. CACI
2. Micro-dermabrasion
3. Electrolysis
4. Laser
5. Any electrical beauty treatment

POST-TREATMENT ADVICE
The following precautions are to be observed immediately following the injection
1. Do not shampoo the hair or have a scalp massage.
2. Do not wear anything tight on the head (hats, caps, hair bands etc.)
3. Do not lie on the treated area.
4. When cleansing the skin do not apply pressure - use only gentle upward strokes.
5. Avoid leaning forward and bobbing up and down (cleaning, which may involve a lot of bending, clothes shopping in dressing and undressing).
6. Do not have a facial massage or treatment of any kind.
7. Do not take any form of exercise or yoga.
8. Do not take any aspirin or drugs containing aspirin.
9. Do not take vitamin E or consume alcohol.
10. Do not take long haul flights for 24 hours
These precautions limit the spread of the muscle relaxing injections from the site of injection.
