VEIN REMOVAL

Thread Vein Removal By Laser
The appearance of spider veins on the face and legs can result in poor skin complexion that can cause embarrassment or self-consciousness for many individuals. Red and blue veins up to 4mm in diameter can be treated.

Traditional methods of treatment include:

  • Electrodessication
  • Sclerotherapy - some veins may be more suited to be treated with one of these methods. The operator will advise you accordingly.

    How it works
The laser light penetrates the outer skin and coagulates the blood in the targeted blood vessel. This causes the vein to blanche and then disappears through re-absorption into the surrounding cells. The light impacts the vein without damaging the surrounding skin tissue and is therefore an extremely simple and safe procedure. Results are generally immediate although it may take some time for re-absorption to occur.

    How many treatments are required?
Depending on the severity of the condition, one - three treatments are usually sufficient to achieve full clearance. After effects, if any, are short-term and may include redness or a light crusting or 'scratch’ on the skin. Results are excellent and no elastic stockings or bandaging is required.
